KUWAIT, 14 March 2005 — Kuwait’s shares rose 2 percent yesterday to a new record high as the Arab world’s second largest market continues a winning streak that has lifted the bourse more than 650 points in seven sessions. The Kuwait Stock Exchange index of nearly 130 firms closed 146.70 points higher, or 2.01 percent, at 7,446.30, eclipsing a previous peak of 7,299.60 set Saturday.
