RIYADH, 17 March 2005 — Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, yesterday held talks with Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, on issues of mutual concern as well as prospects of cooperation between the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Top officers including Chief of Staff Gen. Saleh Al-Mahya, Gen. Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal, commander of the Saudi Air Force, and Maj. Gen. Hussein Habter, head of operations at the armed forces, attended the talks held at the prince’s farm in Buwaibiyat. Earlier, Gen. Myers met with Prince Khaled ibn Sultan, assistant minister of defense and aviation for military affairs.
