JEDDAH, 19 March 2005 — The recent Initial Public Offering of Albilad Bank made a Saudi so carried away that he used the name of his former wife to buy the shares, Okaz daily reported, quoting the woman’s present husband. The new husband was surprised when he saw her wife’s name among the share subscribers. He has lodged a complaint with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency and asked authorities not to allow the former husband to misuse his wife’s name. More than half the population of Saudi Arabia applied for the bank’s flotation which was an instant rage with the investing public.
