TAIF, 29 March 2005 — A Saudi man took his pregnant wife to the hospital for a routine check-up. The lady doctor examined the woman, who was in her ninth month of pregnancy, and determined that it was time she gave birth, Al-Watan reported. As the couple tried to leave the room, they could not open the door because the door was stuck from the inside. The doctor sent an emergency message to the hospital management to bring in someone to break the door. At this stage the husband took matters into his own hands and broke the door so his wife could go into the labor room.
