JEDDAH, 30 March 2005 — The International Indian School, Jeddah (IISJ) has made arrangements to distribute application forms for admission to the KG section to parents who had failed to get the forms earlier.
“Interested parents seeking admission for their children can collect the forms from the headmistress of the KG section,” IISJ acting Director and Principal E.K. Shaffe told Arab News yesterday.
“The first screening is over and admissions are almost complete. However, we will be issuing forms to all those who did not get them earlier,” Shaffe added.
“We already have about 80 requests for Lower KG and 50 for KG,” he said.
Due to the limited number of seats, only about 400 forms were issued for admission to Lower KG.
This resulted in criticism from parents who could not get application forms for their children’s admission since the school started issuing forms on March 15.
Old Textbooks
Meanwhile, old and used textbooks will be distributed free of charge to needy students of IISJ.
The books will be distributed at Shadab restaurant in Aziziya district from 8.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (April 1-2), according to Arif Quraishi, president of Indian Cultural Society.
