JEDDAH, 30 March 2005 — Radiology experts from all areas of medical imaging, research, industry and government agencies are coming together to discuss the future of medical imaging and latest advances in related technologies at an upcoming conference in Jeddah.
Radiological Society of Saudi Arabia (RSSA) is hosting the conference at Crowne Plaza Hotel from April 15-17. The conference, which organizers described as the first annual, will be marked by the presentation of scientific papers and plenary sessions and workshops. Plenary sessions will be in major research areas related to medicine and radiology, while workshops are designed for an in-depth discussion on radiology.
“RSSA is providing an opportunity for many individuals to participate in this conference in which they can focus on the issue of radiology and medical imaging,” RSSA President Dr. Sattam Lingawi said. The conference will help define the initiative and problems facing all those working in the field of radiology in Saudi Arabia, he added.
A technical exhibition will run on the sidelines of the conference. Major companies and vendors of radiological equipment such as Kodak, AGFA, GE Siemens Medical Solutions, Boston Scientific, Philips and Hitachi, will present their equipment.
