JEDDAH, 30 March 2005 — Saudi Cable Company Group has achieved a marked increase in its revenues during the financial year 2004 with sales amounting to SR1.02 billion, an increase of 74 percent over 2003. The main contributing factor of the higher revenues was the growth in the energy sector. The group has achieved a net profit of SR20.47 million for the year as against a loss of SR89.7 million for the year 2003. Sustained efforts on margin improvement and cost curtailment have helped SCC achieve this turnaround. “The company is now focused in its efforts to ensure that this profitability trend is improved upon in the years ahead,” an official press release said yesterday.
