Dar Al Hekma College recently held an exhibition of work by interior design students. The theme of the exhibition which was sponsored by Saudi Lighting Company was interior lighting. The works were designed for either real or imaginary characters — the person students called their “client.”

The works were supposed to be compatible with the client’s personality.

Prizes were given to three winners with three other prizes also given.

The first prize, SR15,000 went to Alaa Zobair and the second prize, SR10,000 to Dima Misha. The third prize, SR5000, went to Maii Al-Dhawwad.

The other three prizes which were given to encourage were SR2000 each and went to Basma Al-Gara, Banan Kadi and Farheen Khan.

Ms. Kristina Jacobsen, the head of the college’s interior design department, said, “This is the first time our students’ designs have been translated into reality.

I’m very impressed with their effort; they have demonstrated to everybody their abilities and talents. I am very proud of our students.”
