RIYADH, 17 April 2005 — Twenty students of the Bangladesh International School-English Section in Riyadh received their certificates at a colorful graduation ceremony held at the school premises on Friday.
The Senior Trade Commissioner at the Australian Embassy, Garry Kennedy, made the keynote address at the function chaired by school Principal M.S.M Hussein.
Congratulating the new graduates, Kennedy said that they have reached a significant milestone in life and are stepping on to another phase in their education and learning experience. He advised the students to learn new skills to keep abreast of the technological developments in a fast moving world.
“To compete at the top level, you must have a good education that is broadly based and relevant to your life. The better your education, the greater the number of options for your future employment will be,” he stressed.”
Defining the aim of education is to enable the students to fit into society, the principal told the new graduates that they have to adapt themselves to new situations in life and cope with the challenges.
The Chairman of the school’s board of Management Dr. Nazrul Islam outlined the activities of the school, while its Treasurer Mohammed Jamaluddin proposed the vote of thanks.
