CAIRO, 18 April 2005 — The father of prominent Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has undergone a successful open heart surgery. Ehab was reportedly going through the toughest time of his life at the hospital praying night and day that his father will survive the surgery, which doctors warned him will be very dangerous due to the clotting of almost 95 percent of the arteries.
The singer had kept the surgery a secret from the rest of his family members not wanting to cause them worry..
Meanwhile, Ehab denied recent rumors that he was guilty of not paying a phone bill during his tour of Australia and that his home had been confiscated. The singer stressed that there was no such lawsuit against him and that the rumors were baseless.
