JEDDAH, 27 April 2005 — More than 200 national and international companies are showcasing their products at the Food, Hotel & Propac Arabia exhibition being held at the Jeddah International Exhibition & Convention Center here. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Abdul Aziz ibn Saad Al-Shathri will open the event at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Saudi Arabia’s 10th international exposition for food, beverages, catering, hotel equipment, supplies and services incorporates “Art de Table.” Running alongside will be Propac Arabia, the Kingdom’s 10th international event for production and processing, printing and packaging, plastics and chemicals.
“The five-day exhibition, which was biennially held until last year, becomes an annual event from this year onward, because of its popularity and massive growth in the food, beverage and packaging sector,” the organizers, the Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions Ltd., said yesterday.
The exhibition is three-in-one — Food Arabia that includes food, beverages and catering; Hotel Arabia which showcases hotel equipment, supplies and services; and Propac Arabia that encompasses processing, packaging, canning, bottling, labeling and plastics.
Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Syria and Turkey are among the countries whose companies are exhibiting alongside a large number of Saudi companies at the event.
