JEDDAH, 2 May 2005 — The election to the managing committee of Indian International School-Jeddah (IISJ) will be held in mid-June, according to Hifzur Rahman, consul administration and press & information at the Consulate General of India. Rahman, who is also observer for the election, said the election date would be announced soon.

Rahman said the election would be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated in the charter of international Indian schools in the Kingdom.

As a first step in this direction, voters’ list will be pasted on the notice boards in the security guards rooms of both boys’ and girls’ sections of the school on May 3. Parents may visit either section of the school from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. up to May 12 and make sure that their names are on in the voters’ list, E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, acting director of IISJ, said. The voters’ list will also be put on the school website.
