ISLAMABAD, 7 December 2005 — Pakistan will participate at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) conference being organized by India from Dec.16 to Dec.20.

Chairman Senate Muhammad Mian Soomro will represent Pakistan at the conference which will debate issues like multilateral approach of tackling natural disasters and children health care. The session of the world’s largest parliamentary association will be inaugurated by the deputy chairman of Indian Parliament’s Upper House in New Delhi on Dec.17.

Remaining sessions of the meet will be chaired by the Speaker of Indian Parliament’s lower house. During his stay in Delhi, Mian Soomro will meet Indian President A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Cabinet ministers.
