ABHA, 8 January 2006 — A Saudi man was surprised when he discovered upon returning from a trip that all the valuables in his home had been stolen. What is even more ironic was the message left behind by thieves which said that they were sorry for committing the robbery, but that they would reimburse the owner for the value of the things they had stolen once their financial condition improved, Al-Watan reported. The burgled man urged the thieves to return his valuables and promised not to press charges against them. He said that he understood that they were in dire financial straits, otherwise they would not have committed the crime.
