DAMMAM, 18 January 2006 — Saudi female beggars refused a work offer made to them by a factory owner, Al-Watan daily reported. The female businesswoman was trying to clean the street of beggars by finding a decent job for them. She was shocked when the beggars told her that working as cleaners in her factory was not up to their high standards. They regarded her offer as a social disgrace to them and said that they are willing to continue working as beggars because it is more profitable.
