RIYADH, 24 February 2006 — Mohammed Abdul Rasool, a chartered accountant and social worker, has received the “Hind Rattan Award” of India’s NRI Welfare Society. Indian Minister of State for food Processing Subodh Kant Sahay presented the award to him at the 25th international congress of non-resident Indians, which was held in New Delhi on the occasion of the country’s republic day. the award is given annually to 30 prominent NRIs from across the world for their economic and social contributions. Abdul Rasool is currently the vice chairman of the Riyadh-based Osmania University Old Boys NRI Association.
