The Asian Football Championship tickets are now available online since yesterday and can be purchased at least two weeks before the tournament and must be collected three hours before a game kicks off. The competition in which 25 national Asian teams are taking part will run from July 7-29 in four countries for the first time. Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are the hosts. Saudi Arabia placed in the fourth group along with South Korea, Bahrain and Indonesia and play the group matches in Indonesia. The cost of the group matches tickets ranges from SR6 to SR82 according to seating, and the finals cost SR20 to SR206.
Ittihad Emerges TT Champions
The Saudi Table Tennis Super League ended on Thursday at Al-Ittihad Club indoor hall with Ittihad emerging champions after beating Al-Ahli in the final 3-0. Al-Fath club placed third. The awarding ceremony was held after the competition and was attended by president of both the Saudi and Arab Table Tennis Federation Muhammad Al-Hussaini. Ittihad received SR30, 000 cash prize, while the runner-up Ahli received SR20, 000 and Al-Fath got SR10, 000. Abdulaziz Al-Ababd, Naif Al-Judai, Raad Al-Shareif, Fahd Al-Houti and Osamah Al-Mihaibis played for Ittihad while, Ahli team consisted of Khalid Al-Harbi, Mansour Alim, Azzam Alim and Akram Al-Ghamdi. In addition, the First Division champions Al-Salam club were awarded SR10, 000, second-placed Al-Intisar club got SR5, 000 while third-placed Al-Sir club received bronze medals. Meanwhile, the Saudi team flew last Saturday to UAE to participate in the UAE International Open Table Tennis Championship for youth (U-15 and U-18) that kicked off on Monday. The team comprised Raad Al-Sharif, Muhammad Al-Shareif, Azzam Alim, Yazeed Habeeb, Ali Al-Ribh, Ali Nassir, Diyaa Al-Khadrawi, and Muhammad Sultan.
Water Polo Team Gear Up for Kuwait
The Saudi national water polo team is undergoing a training camp where they will play friendly matches with the UK national water polo team in Jeddah in preparations for the World Cup (category B) to be held in Kuwait next week. The Saudi squad consists of Basim Al-Harbi, Khalid Al-Harbi, Yusri Al-Laiyli, Ayman Al-Oryani, Walid Al-Ghamdi, Muhammad Fahal, Hussain Al-Jizani, Yassir Al-Birnawi, Muhammad Al-Zahrani and Ali Rabyei from (Al-Ahli), Bandar Al-Zahrani, Muhammad Al-Zahrani, Yassir Al-Zahrani, Adel Al-Malki, Mutib Al-Malki and Hamid Al-Nifai from (Al-Ittihad), and Ahmed Al-Shammari from (Al-Qadisiya).
