JEDDAH, 29 June 2007 — The Juffali Racing Team, which includes Changheze Khan, Shane Lottering, Eric Johnson, Yasser Arafat and Jamil Ajjane, has been recording successes in various competitions across Saudi Arabia.
The team, formed in February by Juffali Automotive Co. (JAC), the Kingdomwide exclusive dealer of Mercedes-Benz cars, recently showed remarkable results in the two rounds of Saudi Autocross race organized by renowned Saudi rally driver and motor spore developer Abdullah Bakhashab.
The team also participated in two rounds of Jeddah Raceway Autocross race organized by Jeddah Raceway. In the four rounds, Juffali Racing Team members reached advanced positions and even hit the crowning podium several times.
“Juffali Automotive Company decided to form this racing team in order to increase an awareness of the strong performance of AMG cars, as well as the new C-Class cars among youth through a practical way, which proves the stunning performance of these wonderful cars inside closed circuits to ensure safety of the drivers, the public and the cars, as well,” Chenghez Khan, marketing manager of JAC and its racing team leader, said.
“The experience was rewarding and the accomplishments of the team in all races they participated are a source of pride to JAC.
We are also proud to be the first automotive company in Saudi Arabia that formed a motor racing team and has various car models in the races.” JAC allocated five cars to the team including one CLK AMG and four C-Class.
