- (STC) has announced a special offer for both postpaid and prepaid BlackBerry package subscriptions.
STC said the offer is valid for two months starting July 24, 2011.
To activate this special offer, customers should send and SMS with 8811 to 902. At the end of the offers three-month interim period the fees will revert to SR79, which nonetheless is still the lowest in the Kingdom.
STC has the distinction of being the first in the Saudi market to introduce different types and sizes of BlackBerry devices including such popular models as the Blackberry new Bold 9780 in white and black, Blackberry Curve 3G — in red and silver, and Blackberry Pearl 3G 9105 in black and white.
In addition, STC was the first to launch the BlackBerry Torch 9800 — device in red and white, which is the first smart phone in the world that colligates between the BlackBerry keyboard and the touch-screen as well as being the first that uses the new BlackBerry 6 system.
Most recently, STC launched the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 with its elegant design and a variety features and functions especially useful for customers who stay connected to social networking sites.
As the leading BlackBerry operator in the region, STC has also launched the Blackberry PlayBook, which offers a new experience in tablet devices with free access to Wi-Fi service in more than 2,000 locations for one year and with unlimited consumption of data size.
The Blackberry Playbook is available in three versions: 16 Gigabytes at SR2,099, 32 gigabytes at SR2,699 and 64 gigabytes at SR3,099, all with Wi-Fi technology.
BlackBerry PlayBook users can also benefit from applications available in the BlackBerry App World store with the option of downloading free applications or buying others through connecting to Wi-Fi service.
