Her employer, an office under the medical commission in Makkah province, was taken to court for unfair dismissal. A verdict was issued in her favor Wednesday.

Court of Grievances Chief Justice Abdul Aziz Al-Nassar, who was making an inspection tour at the court’s Jeddah premises, saw the Saudi nurse and asked her why she was in court. She told him that despite nine sittings at the 7th Circuit Court no verdict was given in her complaint against her unjust dismissal from her job.

The chief justice ordered the circuit court to look into the case immediately. Within an hour the judge heading the court issued a final verdict that her employer should reinstate her in the Jeddah office and pay her back salaries.

If the office had any objection to the ruling, it should appeal the verdict within a month.
