- RIYADH: Special security forces in Riyadh have arrested a Saudi citizen for allegedly supplying paper used in forging $100 bills.
The officers arrested the man while searching for an expatriate worker suspected of involvement in forging currencies.
Police trapped the suspect after an undercover officer offered SR1.5 million to buy a million pieces of paper used for forging dollars.
The Saudi man brought the paper to a flat in Riyadh’s Al-Khaleej district. There were 100 bundles, each containing 10,000 leaves.
The man later told police that he got the paper from an African. Security agents have handed over the man and the paper to Rawdah police for further investigations.
