Head of the Committee Khalid Al-Nuwaisir said the RCCI has, in the context of strengthening business and investment ties between the Kingdom and other countries, launched the Saudi commission for business arbitration to undertake arbitration issues and settlement of disputes arising between Saudi and foreign parties.

He said the meeting touched on arbitration mechanism in the Kingdom and means of its improvement so as to cope with business and investment activities in the Kingdom in addition to its role in settlement of disputes at local and international levels.

The meeting further came up with a number of recommendations including organization of workshops in cooperation with Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on how to develop arbitration sector and training of Saudi lawyers and arbitrators.
