Under the sponsorship of Princess Adela bint Abdullah, Prince Salman Social Center will host tomorrow the “Heritage and Culture Days 2013,” which is an annual event organized by the women’s department of the center. It will run for three days and will be attended by the Minister of Culture of Bahrain Shaikha Mai Al-Khalifa, as well as a large number of princesses and women in diplomatic service, renowned intellectuals from the GCC region and media persons.

Director of the center’s women’s department, Princess Jawhara bint Saud bin Abdullah bin Al-Thunayan Al-Saud, said in a statement that the selection of the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain as the guest was agreed upon previously, wherein officials from the women’s department had discussed the idea with the Baharaini Embassy in Riyadh, which welcomed the idea. Kuwait was the guest of honor in the Heritage and Cultural Days last year.

Princess Jawhara expressed her hopes of the success of this edition of the event.

The events of the year will comprise a number of literary and poetry works, Bahraini architects’ special presentations, in addition to traditional folk music and dances from Bahrain, a photo gallery entitled “Pause” showcasing Saudi-Bahraini relations, an exhibition “Human Heritage,” replicas of old buildings and houses in Bahrain, and other cultural and entertainment activities and contests.

The official inauguration ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow evening at the Prince Salman Social Center headquarters in Riyadh.
