Veteran Edwin Atienza rocked the lanes to become the Best Bowler of the Week and power league leader D’ Pirates to the Best Team of the Week award on the 9th session in the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) Friday Bowling League 2nd Conference.
Hala International, Mabuhay Mobily in partnership with Globe sponsored the league organized by the IBG Advocates at Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Atienza shot the high series of 891 on lines of 215, 192, 217 and 267 at the vanguard of D’Pirates who posted a perfect score of 26 points in wining the match against Great Balls of Fire, which returned 11.
Backing up Atienza were Bembol Velasco (890), Dennis Gabriel (883), Celis Viloria (855) and Erwin Nacario 852.
Jess Ambon and Ed Cruz scored identical four-game series of 856 to lead Great Balls of Fire.
Jojo Miraflor added 738 points while Danny Trinidad, Jerry Damiray, Henry Pablo and Ely Fanugao posted separate series of 442, 397, 365 and 363.
NBA squad mentored by Nelson de Vera rolled past Itqan Tenpin Wizards 24-16. Southpaw Ronald Bautista top-scored for NBA at 876 followed by Joel Batolina and Mike Ecalnir at 864 and 836. De Vera and Bandar Al-Marshad chipped in with 796 and 771 points.
Doy del Moral and Ric Singson led Itqan Tenpin Wizards by posting separate series of 864 and 863. Ronald Cruz poured 813 while Reynald Madinah and Arnold Jesena carded 804 and 735.
The match between FBGR Air21 and Bankrun resulted in 24-8 to FBGR Air21 captained by Jerry Austria. At the helm of FBGR Air 21 was Thong Asuncion with 870 points, followed by Jove Marano (867), Ruel Toledo (576) and Leo Mabunga (528).
Shawn Rickett and James Boyd scored 459 and 418. Austria added 365 points.
Sam Alinsod paced Bankrun with 873 points. Rainier Torres was next to Alinsod with 542. Angelo Train and Dawood Sereno registered 525 and 328.
Other results: Salying Kits beat Saco 23-11, Pinbusters beat SABB Strikers 21-11, Roll and Bowl beat Itqan Tornado 19-4 and Magnificent-5 beat Xperts 17-13.
