Baha governor opens 10-day Dawa Exhibition

Baha Gov. Prince Mishari bin Saud opened the 15th Baha Dawa Exhibition here yesterday.
Several prominent figures, including Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh Al-Asheikh, Baha University President Saad Al-Horaiqi, Baha courts chief Sheikh Abdullah Al-Qarni, Assistant Deputy Minister for Dawa Affairs Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Ghanam, Director of the ministry’s branch in Baha Ahmad Al-Hazemi, and Baha police director Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Hatlani attended the opening ceremony.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs organized the fair, titled “Kun Daeyan” (be a preacher), at the Center of Exhibitions in Baha.
Prince Mishari opened the exhibition by cutting a ribbon. Accompanied by other dignitaries, the governor toured the pavilions and was briefed on the exhibits.
A total of 75 government and private organizations and agencies are taking part in the 10-day event with their separate pavilions.
In his speech, Prince Mishari highlighted the significance of Dawa work in Islam.
He noted that the government of Saudi Arabia is giving paramount importance to the propagation to the divine religion as well as to uphold the principles of the Holy Qur’an and the Tradition of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
“The Kingdom is giving utmost keenness in taking care of issues concerning Muslims throughout the world.
“The exhibition is part of its continuous efforts to enlighten people and guide them to the right path,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Al-Asheikh highlighted the moderate and balanced policy being pursued by Saudi Arabia in its religious, economic and financial matters.
