Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office Carlos Mora, ambassador of Uruguay to Saudi Arabia.

Nahla Nasser Alanbar, private executive assistant to the chairman and Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the chairman, were also present.

This is the first meeting for Mora with Prince Alwaleed since he took office as the ambassador and he thanked the prince for receiving him, according to a KHC statement received here.

The envoy and the prince also discussed a number of issues related to economic bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.

Also on the agenda of discussions were investment issues especially in light of Prince Alwaleed’s local, regional and international investments in various sectors such as banking, real estate, media and hotels.

Mora also referred to investment opportunities in Uruguay and invited the prince to visit his country.

The ambassador commended Prince Alwaleed on his achievements that have propelled the wheel of economic development.

In response, Prince Alwaleed welcomed the idea to invest in Uruguay and promised to visit the country in the near future.

In 2008, Tabare Vazquez, former president of Uruguay, met with Prince Alwaleed at the conference palace in Riyadh.
