The 16th edition of the Saudi International Building & Construction Exhibition (BUILDEX 2014) that is hosted by the Dhahran International Exhibitions Center has attracted more than 7,000 visitors since it opened last Sunday.

The exhibition is bringing together the Kingdom's key players in the building and construction sectors.

Hosting over 10,000 architects, contractors, property developers, designers, engineers, suppliers and distributors each year, the 16th edition of BUILDEX, which will run until Feb. 20, showcases a comprehensive range of modern technologies, equipment and materials in building and constructions.

Dhahran International Exhibition Company CEO. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Hussani said: "The exhibition aims to reflect everything that major local companies and participation of various countries have reached of the latest heavy equipment and cranes in addition to live performances, which explains how the equipment works. The exhibition also aims to highlight the tangible development being witnessed by this sector in the Kingdom."

Muhammad Al-Ibrahim, PR director of Dhahran Exhibitions Center, stated that Buildex 2014 features various industries including, construction materials and equipment, engineering and security systems, design, textiles and interiors, window systems, shutters and aluminum works, ceramic tiles and sanitary, flooring, paints, and finishing materials.

He added that Buildex is the only B2B platform for the exchange of construction related ideas, products and services, making every participant’s investment worthwhile.”

Al-Ibrahim said: “At the exhibition, investors are making their businesses visible to key governmental decision-makers looking for bidders to take part in the multibillion riyal construction industry of the Kingdom’s public sector.

Investors also showcase their international products to potential local franchisees, and promote their construction products and solutions to main corporate decision-makers.”
