The fourth edition of Machinex Arabia, Saudi Arabia’s International Machinery and Equipment Exhibition for construction machinery, equipment, and vehicles is taking place at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.

Mazen Batterjee, vice-chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions, opened the exhibition.

Senior representatives from the government, public and private sector as well as senior management from participating companies were also present.

Machinex Arabia is being held concurrently alongside Saudi Arabia’s 19th international event for production and processing, printing and packaging, plastic and chemicals.

Organizers say 150 local and international companies from Austria, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, Britain and the US are expected to take part in the show.

“Speaking about the boom in the Saudi Arabia construction industry, the demand for construction plants, machinery, equipment, vehicles, spares and attachments in the Saudi market is at an all-time high,” said Mazen Batterjee.

Meanwhile, Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions, added: “The Kingdom’s unprecedented development program continues to create an equally demanding need for the best resources, especially for machines, equipment and systems across all industrial sectors.”

A variety of new trends and developments were on show as the exhibition got underway.

Competing for the attention of the local industry’s largest gathering of trade buyers, professionals, senior representatives from the public and private sectors and wholesalers and retailers, exhibitors are pulling out all the stops to display their latest technologies and innovations.

The dual exhibitions close on Feb. 12 and the show hours are 5 p.m. to 10 pm.
