The National Commercial Bank (NCB) held a special event to honor its outgoing CEO, Abdul Kareem Abu Al-Nasr, and to congratulate its recently-appointed CEO Saeed Al-Ghamdi.
During the event, Mansour Al-Maiman, chairman of the NCB, handed in to Al-Nasr a plaque whereas the latter handed to Al-Ghamdi the leadership torch.
“There is no question that the NCB witnessed a noticeable growth under Abu Al-Nasr’s leadership. He based his success on strong ideals promoted by his predecessors,” Al-Maiman said.
“As we regret to say goodbye to a man who devoted himself to the bank. We are reassured by welcoming the new CEO, Saeed Al-Ghamdi. He is one of the great professionals in the financial service industry,” Al-Maiman added.
Al-Maiman emphasized the role played by the bank’s personnel describing them the most valuable assets.
“The performance of our employees is the main reason for the NCB’s top reputation among Saudi banks. This is proved by the bank’s reception of numerous awards and classifications from international organizations,” he added.
Al-Ghamdi said: “Our support is our manpower, the advanced systems, the quantum leaps and optimistic strategies in addition to the bank’s position in non-profit areas.”
Al-Nasr said it is about time for him to focus on his family and personal life after serving the bank for more than 18 years, seven years of them as the CEO.
During his time, the bank could reach 92 percent of Saudization in the administrative units and 100 percent in the network of branches.
