Duphat, the biggest pharmaceutical event in the region, has opened in Dubai with 420 participating companies from 73 countries.

Essa Al Maidoor, director general of Dubai Health Authority, opened the event at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition center.

After the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, Essa Al Maidoor and his entourage had a tour in the exhibition and explored the latest pharmaceutical technologies displayed by national, regional and international pharmaceutical industry players.

Exhibitors are displaying their latest inventions and technologies while also introducing the latest pharmaceutical concepts in this field.

“Pharmacy shapes and enhances the health and medical security in the UAE and Gulf region,” Essa Al-Maidoor said while touring the show.

“Lots of prestigious local, regional and international associations and pharmaceutical representatives, speakers participate in the event. DUPHAT this year is expected to attract more than 18,000 visitors and participants,” said Abdul Salam Al-Madani, executive chairman of DUPHAT conference and exhibition.

The three-day event is considered the largest pharmaceuticals and technologies event in the Middle East attracting experts and pharmaceuticals from all over the world who participate to enhance their knowledge, learn from one another’s experiences, and gain credit hours.

This year the event hosts 24 scientific sessions and 21 workshops that cover a variety of specialized pharmaceutical topics delivered by 72 speakers and specialists including deans, university professors, consultants, and seniors from prestigious pharmaceutical associations.
