Samba Financial Group announced in its interim consolidated financial results for the period ended March 31, 2013 that its net profit during the first quarter was SR 1.16 billion compared to SR 1.15 billion for the same quarter last year, an increase of 1.2 percent, and compared to a net profit for the previous quarter of SR 869 million, an increase of 33 percent.

The total operating income during the first quarter was SR 1.90 billion compared to SR 1.80 billion for the same quarter last year, an increase of 6 percent.

The net income from special commissions in the first quarter was SR 1.08 billion compared to SR 1.06 billion for the same quarter last year, an increase of 3 percent.

Earning per share for the three months was SR 1.29 versus SR 1.27 for the same period last year.

Total assets as at the end of the 3 months were SR 201 billion against SR 196 billion for the same period last year, an increase of 3 percent.

Total investments as at the end of the 3 months were SR 64 billion against SR 55 billion for the same period last year, an increase of 16 percent.

Loans and advances as at the end of the 3 months amounted to SR 107 billion against SR 93 billion for the same period last year, an increase of 15 percent.

Customer deposits as at the end of the 3 months amounted to SR 152 billion against SR 140 billion for the same period last year, an increase of 9 percent.
