Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Toshimitsu Motegi will host the Saudi Arabia-Japan Business Forum to be held in Riyadh on Sunday, said Takashi Mitsuka, managing director of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

More than 100 business executives from Japanese firms will take part in the forum, said Mitsuka.

It would provide good networking opportunities for Saudi companies, he said.

He said the forum is expected to help increase the bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia.

The forum is being organized by the JETRO and the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME).

Mitzuka said the participating companies are specialized in the fields of petroleum, heavy industries, engineering, energy, medical equipment and water treatment.

These companies include the Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd., Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd., JX Holdings, Inc., Showa Shell Sekiyu K. K. (Solar Frontier K.K.), TonenGeneral Sekiyu K.K., Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Hitachi Ltd., Toshiba Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation, JFE Engineering Corporation, JGC Gulf International Co. Ltd., Azbil Corporation (Azbil Saudi Limited), Nikken Sekkei Ltd., Itochu Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, Mitsubishi Corpo-ration, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Sojitz Corporation, Sumitomo Corpo-ration and Toyota Tsusho Corp.
