It turned out to be largely positive for investors on Tuesday, as Saudi stock market posted its largest intra-day increase since the start of 2014.

The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) bucked the two-day downward trend and logged a sharp gain of 1.43 percent or 128.75 points, closing at 9,148.73.

All market cap indices closed the session up, ranging from 1.3 percent to 1.6 percent.

Sectoral performance was tremendous, as all sectors finished to the upside, accumulating an aggregate of 1,907.5 points.

After a gap of one session, Real Estate Development sector again made the biggest jump among sectoral indices, posting a handsome growth of 4.52 percent and crossing 6,000-mark.

Jabal Omar Development and Saudi Real Estate Co. were key gainers in this sector, turning up by 7.13 percent and 6.27 percent respectively.

Industrial Investment, Transport, Insurance and Tourism sectors also rose more than two percent in a day.

Top ten heavyweights extended gains, with Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) surging by 1.79 percent and bellwether SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) 1.1 percent.

A good amount of turnover 389 million shares worth SR9.85 billion changed hands on the Saudi stock market.

This turnover reflects an increase of 60 percent on volume basis and 50 percent in terms of liquidity over the 50-day average levels.

Most of the trading was concentrated in Dar Al-Arkan with 78.2 million shares, capturing 20.1 percent of Tadawul volume. It also maintained a heavy flow of liquidity SR 944.3 million, a relative market share of 10 percent.

The market breadth confirmed a bullish momentum, as out of 159 stocks traded on Tuesday only 4 could not manage for gains.

Insurance companies were the significant winners among all Saudi stocks, with WAFA Insurance and MEDGULF Insurance, soaring up 9.0 percent and 7.4 percent respectively.
