Saudi India Business Network (SIBN) organized a sector specific business to business (B2B) interactive session at the Indian embassy on Tuesday. The session focused on the potential of plastics, printing and packaging industries in India' to enhance bilateral ties.

A huge number of Saudi and Indian businessmen attended the session, which coincides with the ongoing Saudi plastic and petrochem show at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in which 33 Indian companies are participating.

The Indian business delegation, led by the Plastic Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) and Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA), met with Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao. During the meeting, the ambassador expressed confidence in India-Saudi business relations and emphasized the vast opportunities in many sectors, which are yet to be tapped by business communities of both the countries.

Earlier, Sibi George, deputy chief of mission, in his opening remarks highlighted the progress in bilateral trade and commerce.

PLEXCONCIL displayed a video on its activities and gave a presentation explaining the potential of plastics and allied machinery and products in India, and the benefits for Saudi investors and businessmen in doing trade with India in these sectors.

The session concluded with a B2B interaction between the investors from the two countries.

Earlier, Rao inaugurated the India pavilion at Saudi plastic and petrochem show 2014 on Monday when the three-day exhibition opened.
