Coinciding with the Saudi Plast & Petrochem 2014 exhibition being held from Feb. 17 to 20 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Saudi India Business Network (SIBN) will organize a sector specific event focusing on petrochemical, plastic, printing and packaging industries in India to promote business to business interaction between the Kingdom and India in these sectors.

The sector specific program will be organized at the diplomatic quarter in the Embassy of India auditorium on Feb. 18 and will be attended by investors and businessmen from the two sides, said Surinder Bhagat, embassy spokesperson has said.

He added that 33 Indian companies will participate in the 11th international plastics, petrochemicals, printing and packaging technologies trade exhibition, the largest industrial event in the Kingdom.

The Indian business delegation will be led by the Plastic Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) and Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA).

"There are 3 separate blocks for Indian companies at Hall No. 3 in the exhibition center, where the Indian companies will be exhibiting their product ranges from plastic and packaging machineries and products," Bhagat said.

He stated that these Indian companies export a variety of high quality plastic and packaging machineries and materials such as plastic extrusion plants and machines, including injection molding, arm roto-molding, fixed turret, shuttle, rock n roll, rope making, rewinding, inflow twister, coiling, extrusion coating, printing, bag conversion and pouch maker, as well as pulverizer, extruder, drip irrigation fittings, packaging products, engineering products and automotive parts, bathroom mate multi utility home ware, blown film plants, cabins, bathroom fittings and accessories

made of engineering polymers.

The trade fair has witnessed consistent growth over the past few years, in parallel with the sector growth in the Kingdom and the GCC, becoming the most prominent event of its kind in the region.
