The value of projects, whether completed, being implemented or under awarding in Tabuk region is worth more than SR3.01 billion, according to Mayor of Tabuk Region Abdulhadi Alamri.

He said the value of completed projects was worth SR527 million while the value of projects being implemented or under awarding was worth SR976 million and SR1.5 billion, respectively, according to Saudi Press Agency.

Meanwhile, Tabuk governorate has carried out a study on rain and flood drainage system in Tabuk and affiliated provinces and villages estimated to cost SR2.9 billion, he said.

On road asphalting, pavement and lighting of Tabuk districts, he said, the Municipality has undertaken the implementation of many projects at the cost of SR765 million whereas another SR557 million was allocated for beautification projects in the city.

On the other hand, work is under way to construct a tunnel and six bridges in the city at the cost of SR436 million, he added.

Moreover, the Ministry of Municipality and Rural Affairs has approved the construction of five tourist cities along the Red Sea where SR200 million was allocated to cover the first stage of these projects in the region, he pointed out.
