The Saudi stock market turned green on Tuesday, recovering a few points merely.
Wavering in the North-South within a range of 71 points, the benchmark Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed just above the break-even line, closing at 9,744.12.
Four out of Tadawul’s 15 sectors ended the day in green territory, accumulating only 267 points collectively.
Remaining 11 sectors lost an aggregate of 537.2 points for the day.
Sectoral performance was dominated by Energy and Tourism sectors, offsetting their performance by more than one percent positive-negative change.
Most of heavyweight equities finished to the upside, with Riyad Bank advancing by 1.82 percent and Saudi Electricity Co. (SECO) 1.01 percent.
Share price of SECO climbed to a new 2-year high of SR16.25 before closing at SR15.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered advancers on the Tadawul market; as for 33 percent stocks that gained, 56 percent ended lower and 11 percent remained unchanged.
Wafrah for Industry & Development Co. turned in a splendid performance among all Saudi stocks, soaring up SR 4.36 or 8.69 percent to close the day at SR54.52.
Wafrah’s share price has been appreciated roughly seventy percent in almost three months.
Basic Chemical Industries (BCI) was another significant advancer, rising by 5.21 percent. BCI volume went 5.76 times high over the 50-day average, liquidating 5.4 million shares to SR43.16.
While, the top decliner chart was filled by insurance stocks, reflecting a daily reduction ranged from 2.4 percent to 4.4 percent.
Share trading activity was a little high as compared to the previous level.
Tadawul volume set sold approximately 317 million shares, the value of which is equal to SR10.2 billion.
