The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) yesterday rose 25.13 points to finish at 7,124.3 after trading between 7,082.46 and 7,126.42. While curving in the upward territory for most of the session it added 0.35 percent for the entire day.

On YTD basis, it has regained a growth of 4.75 percent.

The market cap indices all ended the day positively.

Sectoral performance was tremendous, as 12 out of the 15 sectors closed in the upward territory, accumulating an aggregate of 700 points roughly.

Hotel & Tourism bucked the 5-day downward trend yesterday and turned green with impressive gains, achieving 3.46 percent growth to close at 11,684.46. Tourism Enterprise Co. was major gainer in this sector, surging 7.8 percent for the day.

On the worst side, Media and Publishing sector continued its downward trend, falling 5.46 percent further and closing at 3,284.81. Tihama Advertising & Public Relations Co. included among the top decliners, going down by 9.85 percent.

Market breadth was positive, as rising stocks outnumbered decliners by a margin of three-to-one on the Tadawul market.

Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance turned in a splendid performance among all Saudi stocks, stepping up to a maximum gain of 10 percent to finish at SR48.4. Sanad Insurance was another significant gainer, marching higher by 8.3 percent to SR 31.3.

Most of heavyweights extended gains, with Kingdom holding increasing by 1.5 percent and bellwether SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) 0.8 percent. SABIC with a liquidity of SR 419.3 million also topped the value chart, reflecting a relative market share of 7 percent and closing at SR 91.25.

Total turnover of SR 6.1 billion was flowed into the market yesterday.

Furthermore, upside-downside volume ratio of 2.4:1 remained favorable.
