A specialized medical team has succeeded in implanting cochlear electronic implants on four children aged between three and six at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam.
The children were suffering from complete hearing loss and the inability to communicate due to birth defects.
The head of the cochlear implant program at the hospital, Dr. Hazem Al-Eid, said this program is one of the specialized ones developed by the hospital.
