Saudi Telecom Company (STC) announced Abdullah bin Hasan Alabdulqader as its board of directors’ chairman during the first meeting of its sixth session held on Monday. The meeting also appointed a sub-committee with its functions based on the approval of authorities.

Alabdulqader is a member of a number of other boardss of directors and commissions. He heads the advisory committee of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and a member of the Organization for Certified Public Accountants’ quality assurance committee.

Alabdulqader worked as a professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He was a member of the first administration council of STC and a member of the first board of the CMA.

Alabdulqader holds a Bachelor degree and Master’s in business administration from KFUPM and a PhD from the US-based University of Colorado.
