Acer & NVIDIA recently hosted the much anticipated GTX challenge, a three-day gaming event, powered by Acer Predator 17.
The event, which was held from July 21 to 23 at Sharaf DG, Times Square Center in Dubai, hosted seasoned gamers from the region’s most prominent YouTube gaming channels: Mohamed from MultiGamers, Alaa from DvLZStaTioN, Mohamed from MxR, and Adel from ExtravaGaming.
The pros went head to head with each other, and then with lucky fans, to play popular games such as FIFA, Project CARS, Tomb Raider, DOOM, and Street Fighter. Moreover, gaming enthusiasts went against one another to showcase their gaming prowess and win exciting prizes throughout the event.
“In order to cater to the growing interest among the gaming community for devices specifically designed to address gaming needs, Acer products like the Predator series, which are powered by Geforce GTX GPU, not only provide the ultimate gaming experience but also gives gamers the best equipped technology in the market,” said Celeste Gibbens, marketing manager at Acer MEA.

The first day of the three-day challenge had the YouTube pros compete to score the highest points in a three-round battle. The winning participant, Ahmed al Sarraf from ExtravaGaming, walked away with an Acer Predator 17, powered with NVIDIA Geforce GTX980M.
The two days following the challenge was centered around gamers from all around the UAE battling it out on the Predator 17.
Fans could sign up for a time slot and one lucky fan ended up destroying the competition and winning an Acer R11.
The Predator Series, named after a fierce hunter, was designed for fierce gamers — members of what Acer calls the Predator tribe.
