Carrefour’s Rabhan character launched during the recent Ramadan month was part of an exclusive competition “Around the world in 30 days,” which attracted thousands of fans through Carrefour’s fan-page on Facebook.

This year’s Fawazeer competition was “unique in terms of excitement.”

It offered cultural benefits to the public at the same time.

The competition was divided into three stages — the first stage during the first 10 days of Ramadan focused on the world’s largest and historical mosques, which followed the era of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH); the second stage during mid-Ramadan focused on the major historical achievements of Muslims and Arabs in all fields, notably among them in religion and medicine; the last stage during the end of Ramadan was dedicated to poetry and Arab poets, as well as their roles in shaping history and renaissance.

The questions were communicated through the cartoon character Rabhan aiming at spreading knowledge among the participants, while entertaining them and creating a competition atmosphere.

Participants were able to increase their chances of winning by engaging more with the fan-page, post information and share their activities with their friends.

A daily winner was selected automatically, with a daily prize value of SR1,000 offered as Carrefour gift cards.

The winners across the Kingdom could visit any Carrefour branch to purchase their gifts, which made this competition among the top ranked in the Ramadan season.

Rabhan is a popular Arabic cartoon figure, which was launched by Carrefour more than a year ago, in order to get in touch with and attract Carrefour customers, as well as entertain them and offer them quality moments.

This character participated in several events and competitions, among them Rabhan and Ramadan, Rabhan the ticket collector, the return of Rabhan, and Rabhan adventures around Saudi Arabia.
