Batterjee Medical College for Science & Technology (BMC) has received the ISO 9001 certification from JAS-ANZ Association, under the Australian government.

Describing the certification as within the framework of excellence and the series of achievements highlighted by various awards, BMC Dean Dr. Hassan Shaibah said: “Receiving this certificate has come to fulfill the college's strategic plan that emphasizes continuous development in order to meet high quality standards.”

He added: "Abiding to international quality measures and standards has become essential in the field of medical education. Receiving this certificate is a great honor and it reflects our keenness to meet high quality standards in medical education."

Dr. Shaibah said that the college underwent a lot of tests that were conducted by JAS-ANZ Association represented by OCS Agency in order to evaluate the quality measures in all mechanisms of actions that include teaching and management.

Dr. Khalid Batterjee, vice chairman of the board of trustees, said this certification was one of the most important certificates received by BMC.

"Being internationally recognized, this certificate is a source of pride and honor to all of us and it is a great motive to raise the efficiency and quality of performance. We are now reaping the fruits of our efforts exerted for more than a year to raise the quality measures of our educational services," he added.

Sobhi Batterjee, chairman of the board of trustees, said: “Receiving this certificate is a wonderful accomplishment that will be added to BMC's series of accomplishments that were achieved in such a short time. BMC is exerting all efforts to keep up with modernity of this era and to promote medical education to meet the college's strategic plan and to serve our beloved country.
