The unified call center launched by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) received 58,692 calls and inquiries from the traveling public during H1, 2016, through the toll free phone number project at 800-116-8888.
The GACA has been making efforts to expand the communication channels with its customers and achieve the ultimate satisfaction with the services provided to offer needed information, while providing its clients with required information around the clock based on the highest quality of standard.
The toll free number offers customer’s inquiries into flight schedules and the ability to talk with the customer’s service staff and lodge complaints, or offer suggestions and general inquiry services.
The call centers are operating at King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam, King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, the Executive Office, and offices of consumer protection, safety and security, air transport, and GACA.
Work is under way to establish 23 call centers at all domestic airports around the Kingdom.
KAIA led the way with 36,221 inquiries its toll free number received through H1, 2016, followed by KFIA with 1175 calls, KKIA 178 calls, the Executive Office 18,669 calls, consumer protection 1,420 calls, safety and air transport 456 calls, and GACA office 573 calls.
The GACA and in accordance with the instructions of its President Suliman Alhamdan established the unified call center in three stages. The stages covered KAIA, the Executive office KKIA, and offices of consumer protection, safety and security and air transport.
Currently work is under way to complete the fourth and final stage at all the domestic airports.
The GACA call center recently won the best government call center award from INSIGHTS, a specialized organization which evaluates professional services in the Middle East and has a track record of 13 years in the field of call center services.
