3,600 young Saudis benefit from NCB program

NCB recently celebrated the graduation of 162 young Saudi men and women who completed courses on how to start your small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The course was organized in association with Najran Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Deputy Najran Gov. Abdullah Al-Qahtani commended NCB’s corporate social responsibility initiative. “This is a great initiative from one of the oldest banks in the Kingdom to boost development,” he said.
“This is a great service to the nation and a civilized initiative,” the deputy governor said while praising the bank’s top management and employees for its social service.
Mahmoud Al-Turkistani, vice president of NCB and head of CSR, said his bank was trying to promote a culture of free enterprises by financing SMEs. “There are several successful models of SMEs carried out by young Saudis,” he said.
Since the introduction of the program in 2005, 3,600 young Saudi men and women in different parts of the Kingdom have benefited from it, he added.
The program was carried out with the support of chambers of commerce and industry in different regions. “We are proud of these ambitious entrepreneurs. They have broken the road to independence by establishing small projects,” he pointed out. He thanked the Najran Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organizing the courses.
Ali Al-Qamish, secretary-general of Najran chamber, said his organization held courses to encourage young Saudis to carry out various business projects.
