RIYADH: Some 2,241 government male and female employees are set to enroll in 85 training programs organized by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) at its headquarters in Riyadh and branch offices in Jeddah and Dammam. The programs are aimed to upgrade skills and production efficiency of the trainees and boost their positive behavioral attitudes. Each program will cover a period running between two to five days, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The programs cover a series of topics including management of meetings, organizational change, time management, health education pogroms, use of the Internet in libraries and information centers, business re-engineering process, report writing, engineering reporting, preparation of master plans for cities, general budgeting, feasibility studies, secretarial works, administration, negotiations with suppliers, final accounts of governmental departments.
The training courses will also cover other areas such as automated system-based auditing, bibliographic description of information sources, engineering project programming, identification of training needs, letters drafting on computers, statistical surveys design, application of total quality in hospitals and medical centers, web page development using JavaScript, job performance and evaluation, computer crimes, intellectual property, content analysis and skills on how to deal with superiors and visitors.
Other training include e-achieving, e-media, job promotions, bank guarantees, termination, career planning, questionnaire design, behavior of public office, procurement order follow-up, team-work building skills, basics of information security, e-government, customs tariffs, public tenders, auditing of governmental financial documents, report design in Oracle environment and word processing.
