Excitement grows for Oman Air family event

A fantastic family day of sports is set to take place when the 6th Oman Air Corporate Cricket Tournament 2013 gets under way in Muscat’s Seeb Stadium tomorrow (Friday).
The tournament, organized by omancricket.com and managed by Pulse Events, will see 10 teams representing major businesses based in Oman compete, for the Oman Air Corporate Cricket Cup.
In addition, a range of prizes will be presented by Oman Air to the day’s exceptional teams and individual performers, with the Man of the Tournament being awarded a special prize of an Apple iPad.
Anticipating an exciting series of matches, Oman Air CEO Wayne Pearce said: “The Oman Air Corporate Cricket Tournament 2013 promises to be a thrilling addition to the Omani sporting calendar. Not only will it provide a great day of entertainment for both players and spectators, but it offers an outstanding opportunity for the business community to engage with the local community.” The CEO added: “Oman Air is proud to be the sole sponsor of this event and we look forward to a great day’s cricket.”
Each player will receive a commemorative T-shirt and participating teams have been confirmed as the Corporate World Bank Muscat, Ahli Bank, Shell Oman, Suhail Bahwan Group, Al-Ghalbi International, Al-Khan Foods LLC, AATCO group, Al-Seer Group, Larsen and Toubro and DHL.
The day’s matches will take place on a grass pitch between 7am and 7pm, with evening matches being played under floodlights and snacks and refreshments being offered to both players and spectators throughout the day.
The prize-giving ceremony will follow and will be attended by senior figures from Oman Air.
