JEDDAH: More than 1,500 security experts from the public and private sectors and 30 speakers will attend the second forum today on ensuring comprehensive quality in public security, at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.
Assistant Interior Minister for Security Affairs Prince Muhammad bin Naif will open the forum, which aims at making use of best practices and modern technologies in field and administrative security activities.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Shahri, assistant director general of public security for planning and development, highlighted the role of security in boosting development in any country.
“The forum aims at improving the security level in the Kingdom and ensuring qualitative performance of security agencies and departments,” said Al-Shahri and disclosed plans to establish a department for knowledge and quality applications and upgrade the public security’s IT infrastructure.
