The Creative Japan Fashion Fair opened at the Harvey Nichols shop in Faisaliah Mall in Riyadh. The event will run through March 11.
“The show highlights the opening of the Japan Cultural Month. It showcases the latest Japanese fashion and cosmetic products and gifts,” said Japanese Ambassador Jiro Kodena.
The envoy said that following the fashion fair the Japanese Embassy is launching a series of cultural events in the Kingdom.
On March 5 to 15, the embassy will participate in the International Book Fair at the Riyadh International Exhibition Center. Japanese books on tourism, language, cooking, traditional culture, literature and martial arts will be on sale.
“I hope these events will enhance the cultural exchanges between Japan and Saudi Arabia. Saudi citizens may discover the similarities in culture and ways of thinking between both countries,” he said.
He also added that details about upcoming music concerts and a film festival could be found on the website of the embassy.
