Arnold Jesena claimed the Best Bowler of the Week award and Great Balls of Fire the Best Team of the Week accolade during the 12th session in the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) Friday Bowling League 2nd Conference at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).

Jesena, one of the bankable players of Itqan Tenpin Wizards, showed flashes of his old brilliance to post an impressive series scratch of 915 and help his team whip Magnificent-5 23-13.
Jesena rolled games of 233, 199, 247 and 236. Also, the duo of Doy del Moral and 5-time perfect 300 scorer, southpaw Ronald Bautista, bowled well for the Wizards on 829 and 813 respectively. Team mentor Ric Singson added 769 points while Jun Bantug and Reynald Medina recorded separate series of 440 and 402.
Clem Ojeda poured 789 points to lead Magnificent-5 and next to him in the scoring were Jun Daniel and Mar Queyquep who posted identical series of 775. Paul Decena had 552 while Ely Baraquiel and Cris Crisostomo chipped in 372 and 352. Emerson Mitra contributed 203.
Great Balls of Fire humiliated SABB Strikers 24-9 to emerge as the week’s best. The troika of Ely Fanugao, Sammy San Juan and Romy Bejer led Great Balls by knocking down separate series of 846, 818 and 754.
Jojo Miraflor scored 566 in three outings while Ed Cruz contributed 566 points. Jerry Damiray shared 463 points.
The combination of Noel de Guzman and Resty de Jesus paced SABB Strikers on 625 and 610 points. Freddie Solomon and Ahmed Al-Qarquosh followed De Guzman and De Jesus by tallying 531 and 512 points. Mike Benito downed 314 points.
Air21 subdued Saco 22-13 thanks mainly to Leo Mabunga who shot 883. Next to Mabunga was Thong Asuncion with 870 points. Ruel Toledo scored 800, while Jove Marano, Jerry Austria and Shawn Rickett carded 572, 540 and 400.
Leading scorers in Saco were Jun Sebastian 870, Jim dela Rosa (802), George Sto. Domingo (783) and Nickson Mesa (697). Buddy Balisi and Ferdie dela Rosa sealed 392 and 379.
Other results: D’Pirates beat Bankrun 22-11, NBA beat Pinbusters 21-11, Salying Kits beat Itqan Tornado 20-17, Roll and Bowl beat Xperts 19-11.
